Sometime in November 2014 I will be offering "Milk & Cookie/Cookies for Santa" mini sessions in my home studio in NE Houston.

Wear your Christmas Jammies and come on over for some adorable Holiday themed photos (the cookies don't hurt either)!

These sessions are for children only. Additional $20 charge per child for more than 2 children per sitting.

Pearland Parent Magazine Ad | Houston, Pearland, TX newborn, children, family photographer

So, taking a successful business and relocating it from one state to another can kill it. Being brand new here in the Houston area I've finally had to do something I never had to do before:

Paid advertising. 

*Gulp*

Word of mouth worked so well for me in PA, but here in TX I don't know anyone to spread the good word for me :)

I will be placing an ad in a local Parenting magazine called Pearland Parent for 3 months.

Here is what the ad will look like :

I'm hoping this will get me back into what I love, because I am seriously having photography withdrawal!!

Posing boys- posing advice

My 3 year old has a tendency to pose with his hand on his hip...he says the girls at school showed him how to.

While adorable, it's a little too girly for boys in my opinion.

A great fix if you're having trouble posing boys is to ask them to put their hands in their pockets. It's my go-to with little boys and men alike. It broadens the shoulders and men/boys are actually flattered by shooting straight-on (unlike women who should be shot at an angle).

Once I instructed him to put his hands in his pockets I got a keeper!!

October Holiday Mini Sessions

Upcoming Holiday Sessions

The Holidays are coming!!

Ok, I know it's only July but it is time to start thinking about your Holiday Photos!! The months of October and November will be reserved for Outdoor Family sessions; there will be no indoor family sessions unless the session takes place on location at your home. 

December is reserved solely  for Newborns and Grow-with-Me sessions; there will be NO holiday sessions in December.

Mini sessions will be set up for October and November during the weekends and possibly during the week and the cost will be $100 for a 30 minute session and 8-10 hi-res images on disk.  Dates TBA. Possibly 10 holiday cards or some prints will be included in the cost :)

All sessions scheduled on days not set up as Mini sessions will remain the usual $200 + tax.

Snow Day

Well, the snow caused me to reschedule a photo session today but I managed to get outside in the snow with the camera with my guys to enjoy it!
