Mommy & Me Photo Contest-2012

Since Mother's Day is around the corner I want to give one lucky Mama a chance to win a free session and CD of images to celebrate with!

Rules:
-I will be accepting entries from today until Saturday, April 14. Once the submission phase is closed I will post the photos to an album on my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/stephanielawlessphoto), and the voting will begin!

The fab four

I did also manage to get my own kids out into the bluebonnets, and as I was running out the door after work one night to do it, I popped my head into my neighbors house and yelled for her to join us.

Michele watches my guys most days while I'm at work, and her house is just like home to my guys. My oldest even calls her Mommy sometimes while he's there!

Her boys are just like big brothers to my boys and they all generally get along great together (well, you know they DO fight like brothers sometimes)....

I managed to capture some great images while we were out playing in the field that night.

Sadly I couldn't get any smiles out of my little guy because he was running a slight fever that day and was a tad grumpy. So I went with it and let him have his binky and favorite blankie for a few shots. Hey, whatever works, right? I'm sure someday I'll look back and enjoy the memory of him with his blankie :)

Spring mini sessions, part 2

The threat of crappy weather had me worried about mini sessions scheduled on Saturday, but the sun was shining when I started with my first family, and the rain held off until the end of my last session.

Phew.

I started out my morning with an adorable trio of brothers. I am so glad I got to finally do a shoot with them because they happen to be part of our little LVH Surgery Dept. family. I love being able to photograph friend's kids!!

After the boys I got to work with another friend/favorite, Kailyn!!

She was absolutely adorable and had quite a few of her own poses up her sleeve this time :)

The sprinkles were starting at the end of Kailyn's session, and the breeze was picking up and getting colder, but we managed to push through the next session with a pair of sisters.

Hair was constantly being pushed out of faces, and poor little Giada needed some warm up breaks in between shots (I felt terrible, she was shivering!!), but we managed to get the shots in before the rain really started to come down.

These girls were troopers!!

Easter Mini Sessions -Part 1

I had no idea the bluebonnets were going to bloom so early this year!

I'm certainly not complaining though because when I saw they had already bloomed when I pulled into the park Wednesday night for Mini sessions, I was unbelievably excited!

Like a kid in a candy store, even!!

I like to think my clients got a little unexpected treat, as well.

Surely you remember Rowan from his recent cake smash, along with big Sis, Teagan?

They had a ton of fun in the flowers, and Mom had brought along the cutest Easter baskets, too!

I followed up those 2 cuties with another adorable brother/sister duo.

Nathaniel is one of my Grow With me clients and you'll be seeing his 6 month pictures soon so keep an eye out for him!

This time big Sis Samantha was our star, and she was definitely not shy in front of the camera! I got plenty of smiles from her!!

I was also very thankful that my next set of Mini Sessions was coming up on Saturday since the bloom was already in action!

Baby Clay- 6 months

You may remember Clay from his newborn and 3 month shoots..... because after all, he's in it for the long haul.

All the way to one year, baby!

 He just keeps getting bigger and bigger and I swear those eyes get bluer and bluer, too!!

He is making the silliest faces now and they were totally cracking me up! I'm so glad I got to spend some time with him and his Mommy this weekend!

We had a beautiful day outdoors for this Easter session at Lockridge Park.

Even with the gorgeous weather posing a distraction, and the fact that both my kiddos were along with me for this shoot, these 2 were so well-behaved it was amazing.

Miss Kenzie is 6 months old

I love this little princess!

Her Mommy and I have been pregnant together twice now. If you know me personally you know that her son and my son are the "A Team"(Austen and Aidan) and are great buddies.

We call this princess and my littlest guy the "M&M's"(Mason and Mackenzie).

Yeah we're cool like that.

We've even decided that our kids are going to be married someday.

Whether they like it or not.

She helps me get my fix of pink and frilliness!!

Cousins

These 3 cousins (2 are sisters) all cheer for Emmaus! There's also an Emmaus football player in the family too, but since it's not football season he didn't have a uniform to join us for the pictures.

Cheering for/playing for Emmaus is a family tradition so when they asked me to capture some images of the girls together in their uniforms before handing them in, I was honored!

I had the girls bring a change of clothes so that we could get some spring shots as well. I loved working with them and they were such great little models!!

Rowan is one!

I had the joy of photographing this cutie and his sister at Christmas, but this session the focus was purely on Mr. R.

After all, you only turn one once, right?

We had balloons, wardrobe changes, and a cake smash, oh my!!

3 months already?

I know it's cliche, but it really does just seem like yesterday it was October and I was doing a maternity shoot for this little guy's mama. 

Now he's 3 months old!

His mommy picked up this adorable hat/bowtie and diaper cover set on Etsy for our shoot and now I am convinced I must order one too to add to my prop collection. Isn't it soooo adorable??

I got lots of smiles and coos and I was so glad to be able to take some photos again for the B. family!

Nathaniel is also one of my Grow with Me clients, so you'll continue seeing his sweet little face every 3 months until he's one!!

London & Brooklynn's Birthday

I spent some time on Saturday at a birthday party at Bounce U for two of the cutest sisters! London just turned 4 and Brooklynn turned 2!

The girls had matching Hello Kitty cakes that were absolutely beautiful from Cozze's Bakery. 

I tell ya what, I was exhausted just from chasing them all around with my camera...I can't imagine having to actually keep up with them on the bouncy equipment!!

Ty- 6 months

OK I must admit, I am completely partial to 6 month sessions.

So many smiles, babies are sitting up on their own (but not quite mobile, a tricky thing to deal with!), and usually pretty willing to deal with hats and props.

They are just sooo cute at this age!
